I went to St. Louis this past weekend to visit my friend Marc. We were both traveling to Tunica, MS over the weekend. I had read about Lamberts on the internet and couldn't WAIT to visit. We got so much more than we expected!

What a fantastic meal with unbelievable service. The entire staff, full of a cast of characters, was a riot. The food was down-home delicious and I've already recommended it to several friends.

We could barely move when we were finished our meal, and joked about needing a wheelchair to get us outside. Your staff did not let us down!!! (See pictures)

We were at the Sikeston, Missouri, LAMBERT'S CAFE I and my daughter, Raquel, saw the rest of us holding up our hands, so she did to, but the thrower had left to get more rolls :-( Better luck next time. By the way, she's eating a kids hamburger.

My family and I spent Christmas at Fort Morgan this year (2009). It was at the top of our list to eat at Lambrets. We absolutely loved it!! The food and the generous portions served was awesome!!! We had lots of food leftover to carry home with us. My husband (Danny) had the chicken wings and he really enjoyed them. The service was wonderful. Our waiter's name was Jeff and he made sure we had everything we could possibly want. My husband and I were watching the top 10 best places to eat in the world on the travel channel just a few days after we got back home in Lawrenceburg, TN and Lambret's Cafe was #1.

We would like to Thank our waiter (Jeff) and everyone else at Lambret's who made our evening so enjoyable!!! We will definitely see ya on our next visit down to Fort Morgan!!! Above is a picture of my family and I. Danny and Renae F. and our son (Josh). Also is a picture of our waiter (Jeff).

Kuwait-bound!!!!

Hi Lambert's!

My family celebrated a very special occasion at Lambert's in Foley last night! It was the first time my sister got to meet her niece, Harper Nell-Marie. Baby Harper is four months old.

My sister, Medic Specialist Kim K., has been in training and will deploy with the Army on New Year's Eve to Kuwait. We are so incredibly proud of her! She and her husband, Tommy, drove up from Tampa to see us and to go to the restaurant where we have so many fun memories—Lambert's!

Our great server made the announcement that Kim is in the Army, and that she would be heading out soon on her first mission. The crowd roared! Everyone clapped and cheered, and it was wonderful to see and hear so many people supporting our troops.

Above are photos of my husband and myself (Brandon & Lori), our daughter Harper, and my sister Kim and my brother-in-law Tommy.

My husband and I were at Lambert's Cafe in Ozark, Mo. on October 21, 2009 on the way to Branson, Mo.

We stop at Lambert's every time we go to Branson, which is usually 2 times a year. We tell everyone we know about Lambert's and they usually stop when they go to Branson. Our names are Jeff and Cheryl from Pontiac, Illinois.

Now that you have the rolls in your gift shop we buy them and give them to our friends and I have one on my desk to remind me of your rolls. Hope to see you in a few months.

Family Day at Lambert's Cafe in Foley, Alabama

After the Marine Corps Ball we went to Lambert's Cafe in Foley Alabama. Whatever you order is all you can eat but you can't take it home. They throw fresh baked rolls from across the room so you have to be on your toes. All you can eat free sides of fried okra, rolls, taters & onions, black-eyed peas, cabbage and macaroni & tomatoes. We had a great time.

If you're in the area, Lambert's is definitely a place you and your family should try at least once. The staff, atmosphere and food were all top notch. It was definitely worth the trip.

Yesterday, the power to our neighborhood was shut off for the day, something about upgrading our services, but I think it was done primarily to annoy me. Today, my family came for a Thanksgiving dinner since it was the only time we could be together. With no power, I wouldn't have been able to do my baking yesterday, plus being home all day with the six pack and no power was a recipe for a Defcon level 1, which in military terms means you are at maximum readiness for an attack - a level at which I frequently find myself.

Deciding to make lemonade from my lemons, my mom, who was home for some time off, decided to get out of the house with me and my sixpack. We did our grocery shopping the day before, which is always a side show. I typically shop for things when I'm already out, which means I usually have my little tribe with me, which also means we frequently have an audience, which is fine too because my six pack is always ready to put on a good show. Me....not so much.

Everyone has their part to play. Sarah for instance, loves to perform the Titanic move on the front of the shopping cart, the one Kate Winslet made famous. We finally got all of our loot and made plans to get lost for the great power outage.

So Friday morning we headed out to run some errands and then we ended up in Foley for lunch at one of my kids' favorite restaurants.

Lambert's is a very family restaurant, one of the last of its kind. So often you hear of restaurants being family friendly only to find they have a limited kids menu and don't really cater to the needs of families. Since my family has grown with my six kids, I have recently discovered that some of our old restaurants started charging an automatic gratuity-often 18% since we had a "large party". This is my family, not some get together of old college friends with multiple checks. I have a running list of such places and do not patronize them with or without my six pack. But enough rant, back to Lambert's and why we like them so much.

Their country style menu, with generous portions, may not be so forgiving on your waistline, but will make your mouth happy. But the food is only part of your experience.

The staff treats you like old pals and unlike most places, encourages nonsense from the kids. Within minutes of settling at your table, a server rolls a cart around and offers fresh, hot yeast rolls right at your table....well, sort of. You see, he throws them to you. This is way, way cool, according to my kids. They like catching them, but its just as fun when they miss.

I decided to try something I've never had before, so I ordered the country fried steak and potatoes. I figured it was lunch time, so I'd probably get a lunch portion. I couldn't have been more wrong because this is what was placed in front of me.

I don't know if you can fully appreciate how intimidated I was with the task before me, the food is actually hanging off the plate. Let's just say, we had eight go boxes with us when we left...quite FULL go boxes.

While you're trying to gobble up all this food, as well as the fun and the nonsense, servers come around with full pots of extras to offer table side. Now this, is in addition to what you have in front of you, and you know that you have no business accepting any extras, but it can be hard to turn down fried okra, fried potatoes, and macaroni and tomato, or at least it is for me. It's just the way I'm made, I can't help it.

I also can't help but laugh at the shenanigans that go on while dining. Along with the frequent rolls flying overhead are other servers going around with mock food and gadgets to stir up some fun at each table. Emma spent most of the meal out of her high chair, standing in the bench seat, dancing to the disco style music coming through the speakers. For my kids, nonsense equals fun, fun, fun.

At the end of the meal, our server showed up with six helium balloons for the kids, as if they needed more nonsense, and then we exited by way of the gift shop so they could spend some of their savings.

The gift shop has nutty gadgets and toys for everyone. I have seen the entire inventory, I promise, because it took at least a half hour for my kids to each pick out a treasure for keeps.

I saw a few things I would have liked myself, like this little funny, but I had to keep control of myself and my pocketbook.

I certainly had other things to get done that day, and being an oldest child, married to an oldest child, productivity is often my sixth sense. So I have to make an effort to stop every now and then and make fun, in spite of having a thousand other things to do. In my years spent working in nursing homes I've never heard a resident tell me how proud they were of their housekeeping, but I've heard many say how much they enjoyed it when their kids were young and encouraged me not to take one day for granted. I encourage you to make your own nonsense, and memories, for your family, and set aside some of that To-Do List and spend some time laughing. I did, and found that a six pack of kids with some airborne rolls can do wonders for your spirit!

I had the joy of experiencing my first trip to Lambert's on November 7th. Although my sister and aunt had eaten here before, they insisted it was a MUST for anyone who has never eaten there. I am so glad they insisted! Not only was the food fabulous, the atmosphere was spectacular. All the servers were friendly and helpful. Thanks for a

My farm manager and I were in Sikeston, MO visiting Beggs Family Farm. Donnie Beggs said we couldn't leave Missouri without first visiting Lamberts.....boy was he right! The great family atmosphere, very fast service and tremendous food has stayed with me for two years. We will be back this coming March 2010 as part of The Maize conference!

When my boyfriend came home on leave for the Navy, we wanted to go somewhere special and fun that we had never been before, so we decided to go to Lambert's. Yahoo maps said the one in Sikeston, MO was two hours so and we were wondering why it took us almost 4 hours to get there. A delicious meal and a speeding ticket later, we realized that my GPS took us to the one in Ozark, MO, instead. However, that 8 hour roundtrip drive and $100 ticket was well worth it! (If you can't tell, he's really loving his steak dinner!)

Can't wait to go back on Christmas break when he comes home again!

Every year when i was younger my grandparents would carry my brother and I to Lambert's. Now that i'm older i'm lucky to share this experience with my best friend. We traveled 2 hours in the rain to get there and it was WORTH IT. The food was delicious, the throwed rolls were fun, and the apple butter was AMAZING. There's really just no other place like it.

I remember my first trip to Lambert's in May of 1982. My parents and I went with some family friends who lived in nearby Bertrand, Missouri. I remember being amazed by the rolls being thrown by Norm. He threw one to me and it hit the window sill! Since then, I have been to the Sikeston location many times. My wife, Jenny, and I took our three and a half month old daughter, Katie, in for a visit. Jenny had never been to Lambert's and she has declared it her favorite place. She was amazed by the fast service and portions of food served. Katie, whom I know will not remember this, had a song played for her by the great Geneva. We requested " Somewhere Over the Rainbow". Needless to say, Katie and I danced while she played. I can't wait when she gets older and starts catching rolls. These are the times to treasure and I will definitely bring them both back. Thank you guys for a wonderful experience.

A guest brought this frame in and said their 80 year old sister in law made this because we took really good care of her because she was in a wheel chair. She has been in the chair sense she was 9 years old because of polio. Said she just wanted to do something for Lamberts. It is now hanging at Lambert's III in Foley, AL.

My husband and I as well as our two daughters took my mother and father to the Lambert's in Ozark and all of us have never eaten there but have heard from other people about how good it is. It was my father's birthday so me, being the nice daughter that I am, drove from Arkansas to take my parents out. We enjoyed our visit. Our waiter was stupendous! He provided us with excellent service and on top of all that he accidentally spilled our food. It went everywhere! On top of the thrown rolls, they throw food (inside joke). We really enjoyed our visit and hope to come back and get the same waiter again! On top of our visit to Lambert's today, we recognized someone from our area that I know very well! They drove from Arkansas just to eat at Lambert's like us! Keep up the good work!
